Installing your Doorbell Camera is as easy as peel and stick! No tools are required for set up, however if you would like to mount your doorbell with screws, we have provided those for you.
Before installing the Doorbell Camera it is good to note what the motion detection view and distance are. You Doorbell Camera can monitor up to a 16ft distance and 35° left & right. This means that any motion within this area will trigger an alert to your phone.
Important:
・The closer your doorbell is to your WiFi router and your Kangaroo Chime or Kangaroo Siren the better it will perform.
・Do not place your doorbell on a metal surface to avoid WiFi interference.
To install using the Peel & Stick (no tools required) method:
- You want to place your doorbell on the center of your door at a height between 3'9" and 4'7" from the ground. When you select a spot for the doorbell make sure you are not placing it over a metal surface. If your door has a metal surface, place it to the side of the door.
- You can peel the sticker from the back of the doorbell and lightly place it where you want the doorbell to go. If you are happy with the placement, continue with mounting.
- Push hard for 30s to secure the adhesive to the surface.
- OPTIONAL STEP: Take one of the included screws and screw it into the hole at the bottom of the doorbell. The purpose of this screw is to prevent anyone from opening the doorbell and tampering with it. It is not necessary for the performance of the doorbell.
