How do motion zones work? (with video)

Motion zones are a premium feature that can be turned on in your video doorbell’s settings. They allow you to define a specific area for your device to monitor while ignoring everything else. Any motion within the specific area will trigger a notification and a recording. This, along with Person Detection is a great way to surface only the most important alerts. 
**Available only to Cam Protect and Complete Protect Plan Subscribers.

Step 1. Tap on the name of your Video Doorbell Camera.


Step 2. Click on "Detection settings"


Step 3. Tap on "Motion Detection zones"


Step 4. Enable "Motion detection zones"


Step 5. Tap on "Edit" on the upper right hand corner
Make sure to highlight the "squares" corresponding to the areas where you would like motions to be detected from.


Step 6. Tap on "Save"
