Road Safety and Rewards scores your driving safety on a 0 to 100 scale. Your driving score is the average of each trip’s individual score. This score takes into account the following driving behaviors; phone use, speeding, hard braking, rapid acceleration and hard turning. Each driving behavior has its own scale, from 1 to 5 stars, to help you identify which areas need improvement. This star scale is there to help you improve your score, be a safer driver, and hopefully qualify for a bigger auto insurance discount.
Scoring Overview
The starting score of any trip is 100, which is perfect. Based on extensive research of millions of trips, billions of miles, and millions of drivers, we understand that most drivers most of the time are reasonably safe. Based on consistently driving safely, the longer a trip, and the more trips a driver safely makes, the more the driver score and trip score improves. Road Safety and Rewards will score a 15-minute trip that has no events as 100, which is perfect.
In short, by driving safely and avoiding risky behaviors, drivers will receive an excellent Driving Score
