Have you just bought your video doorbell camera? Having a hard time pairing the device? Here are the recommended steps to successfully pair your video doorbell camera:
For initial setup or first time installation, pull out the yellow tab at the bottom of the device and charge the device first for a maximum of 4 hours prior to using it.
Step 1. Make sure that the Kangaroo Home Security App is already installed.
For first time customers, go to either App Store (for iOS users) or Google Play Store (for Android subscribers) and search for Kangaroo Home Security. Download and install completely. Login using the mobile phone number you would like to link to the Application to receive future notifications.
Step 2. Wait for the video doorbell camera’s voice prompt.
Either when resetting or pulling out the yellow tab of your device, wait for the video doorbell camera to say “Your device is ready to pair”. There should also be a green blinking light showing in front of your video doorbell camera.
Step 3. Have your Wi-Fi password handy and turn on the Bluetooth of your phone.
Before trying to pair the device, make sure that your phone is already connected to your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is already turned on. Have your Wi-Fi password handy too as this will be needed during the pairing process.
Step 4. Open the Kangaroo App to begin pairing.
Scroll down at the bottom part of the screen and click on “Add a Kangaroo device”. Select the video doorbell camera and begin setup. Just follow the on-screen instructions until you reach that screen that says, “Your device is ready” then click on exit setup.
NOTE: The video doorbell camera might give off a voice prompt saying, “Pairing complete” during the pairing process. Once heard, pairing is not completely finished yet. Just follow the on-screen instructions until you reach the screen showing “Your device is ready”.
