OUTDOOR USE

The Motion Sensor is not intended for outdoor use.

MOUNTING

If your sensor will not stick to the wall:
- Make sure the wall is clean and completely dry.
- The surface of the wall should be flat and untextured.
- Press and hold very firmly for at least 20 seconds.

If you'd like to start fresh, our GuRoos are happy to send you brand-new adhesive. You are also welcome to use your own heavy-duty double-sided tape.

The screws are included as a backup option if the adhesive solution is not working for you.

BATTERIES

The batteries included with your sensor will last between 6 to 8 months. You'll be sent a notification when the batteries need to be changed. After you swap them, the battery life should be much longer.

The sensor uses 2 x AA batteries.

Alkaline batteries last 6-8 months while lithium batteries last 1-2 years. We recommend 2 fresh rechargeable lithium AA batteries for best performance.

To replace your batteries, you do not need to remove the sensor from the wall. In fact, we advise you not to. Simply slide the front of the sensor upwards (unless you are a pet parent, then you would push it downwards) until the front cover comes off. When replacing the batteries, make sure the + and - are inserted correctly.

If the batteries arrive in poor condition, please dispose of them and contact us ASAP. We'll send you a new pair right away.

RESETTING

The reset button is tucked inside a very tiny hold on the bottom right side of the sensor (closer to the dome). Insert a paper clip, safety pin or the back of an earring into the hole and press for 10 seconds.

NOT DETECTING MOTION

Be aware: when you first arm your sensor, it will take up to 10 minutes to begin detecting motion. You can track the countdown on your app!

Double-check that your sensor is mounted at the correct height.

Also ensure that you have successfully paired with Bluetooth.

If it is still not working, try restarting your sensor (see above).

If you've tried all these steps, reach out to one of our GuRoos!
